👨👩👧 My Family and Friends
Class 3 EVS · Unit 1 of 11 · about 120 minutes
Children explore the people around them: who is in their family, how family members help each other, how relations are named, how likes and habits run in families, and how friends and neighbours matter. They learn to observe, ask questions, and express feelings while respecting all kinds of families.
What your child will learn
- Students will describe their own family and identify different types of families (small, big, joint, single-parent) and say that all families are equal.
- Students will list ways family members help each other at home and explain that both boys and girls can do any household work.
- Students will identify and name common family relations (nana, dadi, mausi, chacha, etc.) and draw a simple family tree.
- Students will observe and describe that some likes, habits, and physical features run in families.
- Students will describe the roles of friends and neighbours and how they help each other.
- Students will identify and express feelings (happy, sad, angry) and demonstrate ways to handle them (saying sorry, helping, sharing).
