Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MangoMindz is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NCERT or any school board. Our lessons follow the NCERT learning outcomes for each class, but they are our own work.

2. Who may use MangoMindz

• Account holder: you must be at least 18 years old and the parent or lawful guardian of each child whose profile you create. Only you may create and manage the account.
• Children: children use MangoMindz only under your supervision. You are responsible for how they use it and for keeping your parent PIN private.
• Families in India: MangoMindz is intended for families in India.
• Your account: keep your Google account and parent PIN secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.

3. A free service

MangoMindz is free. We do not take payments, so no refunds apply. If we ever offer paid features, we will show the price and terms clearly before you pay.

4. Educational content

• How content is prepared: lessons, quizzes and plans are prepared with the help of AI tools (providers listed in our Privacy Policy) from unit plans we write to NCERT learning outcomes, and are checked automatically before they are shown.
• Mango, the in-app helper: Mango uses AI to answer questions. Like any learning resource, content may occasionally contain mistakes and does not replace a teacher, so please check important answers with your child. If you see a wrong or unsuitable answer, use "Report this answer" in the app or email us.
• A supplement: MangoMindz supports, and does not replace, school teaching. We make no promise about marks, grades or exam results.

5. Acceptable use

You and your child must not misuse MangoMindz. In particular you must not try to get around security features, parent locks, daily limits or database rules; access other families' data; use automated tools to collect content or overload the service; or use the tutor to produce content unrelated to learning.

Prohibited content (Information Technology Rules, 2021, rule 3(1)(b)). You must not upload, type or share anything that:

• belongs to another person and you have no right to share;
• is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relates to or encourages money laundering or gambling, or is otherwise unlawful;
• is harmful to children;
• infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
• deceives or misleads about its origin, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false and untrue or misleading;
• impersonates another person;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States or public order, incites any offence, or prevents the investigation of any offence or insults another nation;
• contains a software virus or any other code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
• violates any law in force.

We may remove such content, and suspend or close accounts that break this section. We may report unlawful content to the authorities where the law requires.

6. Your content

Photos and text you or your child add (for example an avatar photo, a homework photo or a tutor question) stay yours. You give us permission to use them only to run MangoMindz for your family, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not upload photos that show other people without their permission.

7. Intellectual property

MangoMindz, its lessons, quizzes, characters, design, software and branding belong to the operator of MangoMindz or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them for your family's personal, non-commercial learning. Third-party materials (such as emoji graphics and fonts) are used under their licences, listed on our Credits page (/credits).

8. Ending your use

You can stop using MangoMindz and delete your account at any time in the app (Parents › Security & Account › Delete account).

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts children at risk or is used unlawfully. Where it is reasonable and lawful we will tell you first by email and explain why. We may also change or stop the service; if we stop it, we will give reasonable notice where we can so you can download your data.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

MangoMindz is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties that the content is accurate or complete, that the service fits a particular purpose, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to MangoMindz is limited to INR 1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date and version at the top show the current version. If a change is significant, the app will ask you to read and accept the new Terms before you can continue.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law, the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or MangoMindz.

12. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we do not give it up. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about MangoMindz.

13. Grievances and contact

For any complaint about MangoMindz, your data or content on the service, write to our Grievance Officer:

We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receipt, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, through its official online portal.
